The truth about the great war
Yes...........i am going to talk about the great war between the devas and asuras..
You see ,I feel the truth has to be told.
For millions of years, people have lied.
Accept the fact.
People have their own versions. I do not want to waste
my time talking about them and their stories.
I am here to tell you the truth.
Millions of years ago, devas and asuras were the only
humans on this earth.
It is no wonder they fought so often.
Not for territory but for pride.
It was the year 9999 B.C.
Asuras were humbled in yet another war.
Hatred, agony and distress filled the asura camps.
The devas were rejoicing but they knew that the asuras
wouldn’t leave them alone.
Asuras realized that it was physically impossible to
beat the devas in a war at their home
ground.
Thus they decided to revise the conditions.
They decided to invite the devas to an ODI cricket match on their home soil.
After a round of negotiations, the two boards agreed up
on the proposal.
YES MY FRIEND, this was the Great War that took place
between the asuras and devas.
The two armies marched onto the battle field, in fact
they were charging…
When there was a distance of ten meters between them,
the two parties came to halt....
Bali, the king of the asuras and Indra, the king of the
devas stepped up.
A special minted coin was used for the toss.
Bali won the toss and decided to bat first.
A brief summary.
Shambara and Talkasura opened the innings. After an
early blast, the openers departed. Surya, the opening bowler was on fire. In
fact he was on a hat-trick. Bali, the captain walked out to center. He just
managed to block out Surya’s fireball. Then Bali and Pauloma established a 102
run – stand before their stand was broken by the spin wizard Shiva. The asuras
managed to muster a total of 272 thanks to a late surge by kachadasura and
muckasura. Shiva and Surya starred for the devas with 5 wickets each.
Devas had to chase down a stiff target of 273.Could
they do it??
Shreeram and Yama opened the innings for the devas. Yama literally tortured the asura bowlers while
Shreeram was satisfied with the odd boundary. Then disaster struck. Rahu, the
fast bowler was introduced into the attack. He had a reputation of being the
chief – in - wreck for the asuras. He bowled a devastating spell of four overs,
capturing 8 wickets. However Shreeram braved the storm and won the match with
the able support of KarthikayHowever to mourn the thundering spell of Rahu on that eventful day, we observe what is known as the RAHU KALA. It teaches us that life is not perfect and we as humans have to deal with the imperfections of life.
And remember….from the next time; do not leave any myth and story unquestioned.
